In 2011 IMA gonna post at least once a week. Have I blown that already? Well I missed on week, but I posted twice the following week, so I consider myself caught up.
Yep, at least once a week. Why? Because I like writing and I like the folks I’ve met online.
I’m not sure I have lots to say write now—we’ve had SO MUCH SNOW. We were out 4 days last week. This week we may be out 2 or three. I don’t WANT to be in school until the middle of June. Argh. I will admit to being grateful for the break though, there has been too much work.
So, here I go, starting something else. I’m going to post a picture a week and a blog post a week. They may be the same thing some weeks. Some weeks I’ll get two or even more, but there will be at least one.
I’m also going to jump back in and read more friends. Please excuse me for being silent recently, but winter really does make me quiet. I think the only two I’ve managed have been Pickle Bump and Mental Mosaic, though I haven’t said much to them…sorry gals, I’ve got a case of snow tongue
I have been twittering, trying to get back into that.
So…yes, I’m back, and I’ll see you around the sandbox.
I’ll leave with these “Great Rules of Writingâ€
Do not put statements in the negative form.
And don’t start sentences with a conjunction.
If you reread your work, you will find on rereading that a
great deal of repetition can be avoided by rereading and editing.
Never use a long word when a diminutive one will do.
Unqualified superlatives are the worst of all.
De-accession euphemisms.
If any word is improper at the end of a sentence, a linking verb is.
Avoid trendy locutions that sound flaky.
Last, but not least, avoid cliches like the plague.
