I knew it would be bad. Worse than bad. And it is. All the worst instincts of greed, racism, misogyny, xenophobia…all of it is running roughshod over our country right now.
Was Kamala the answer? No but she was a better answer than the Orange Shitgibbon. Maybe now the Dems have realized we need less Pelosi more AOC. Fuck Centrism. Fuck the right wing Nazi Republicans. I guess all the folks that voted against themselves yet again–poor, minority, female, Jewish, etc etc–well I guess they are going to learn the hard way. I feel for their children. I don’t think I have any sympathy for them any longer. I guess they all just missed the lessons of the WWII era, Even Elon’s Nazi salute isn’t making them uncomfortable. Because the point is–they get theirs and everyone else gets nothing. If you are white and male, well good fucking luck.
I can’t take part in each new outrage, in the hourly unprecedented evil piling upon evil. That isn’t compatible with life. I tried. I can’t do it any longer. But what I can do is …reach out. Try to form community. Let people know I will help. I’m clumsy. I have no idea what I’m doing, but I am going to try.
The first thing I know I have to do is find a way to stay in touch with those I love across the U.S/Canada that isn’t a Meta Platform. Zuck’s evil, no doubt about it. I thought his nerd might win out over his billions but that was not going to happen. We know Bezos is Satan and now we have proof Elon is Adolf’s acolyte. I’m not a religious person, but can none of these folks see *any* Revelations parallels? I mean not at all?
So the first project is letting people know I’m here to help. I did that in a dorky text message to some close folk here. Now onto a bi monthly discord? Zoom? Some way to stay in touch. I’ll write more letters too. I’ve been doing that this last year and I’ll keep that up.
