I have no color prejudices nor caste prejudices nor creed prejudices. All I care to know is that a man is a human being, and that is enough for me; he can’t be any worse. ~Mark Twain

I’m here and very tired. The time change does that sort of thing to all of us.

Had a surprise visit from a good friend visiting from Texas. It was good to see her. It is so funny how much we all care about each other and we are so very very different and also so very much alike. She has made me re-evaluate my thoughts on several things for the better. I think I’ve said it before but I had bad run ins with those who said they were Christians as a young person. It’s nice to actually know a few folks now who walk the walk, as she and her family do.

I start a new rotation tomorrow. I think it is 9th grade English. I was hoping for 11th grade and a speech class, but I am determined to get whatever I can from whatever comes my way. I was surprised at how much I really enjoyed 8th graders, so who knows what will happen with 9th graders. My new mentor has a nice voice and was kind about how heavily scheduled I was this week, so I’ll be meeting her for the first time tomorrow.

It was really great to have time with my family for Halloween. I miss spending time with them. I have a feeling that the next month is going to be thrilling and horrendous both. Quel suprise.

I am wishing I felt more profound tonight, but I just don’t. I would like to get back into my own writing, just a little so I’m putting my butt in the chair and just writing.

Good night. I’m going to read a bit of Lord of the Flies before I turn in.
