There is no such thing as a stupid question?!

There is no such thing as a stupid question?!

One of those days. I guess that actually having “one of those days” is a good indicator I’m engaging with the world again. But I would like to have missed certain parts of yesterday. First the bad, then the good.

I called Hill’s Science Diet to talk with someone about their food. We have been considering switching Ninny (and therefore everyone–because with 4 cats it’s way difficult to feed separately) to their canned M/D food. BUT there was a recall of the dry food. So I called to ask about rice proteins and wheat gluten. Because Ninny is 17 years old, has lost most of her teeth (even with dental care thankyouverymuch) has arthritis AND diabetes. Her little system couldn’t take an insult like contaminated food, not even once. Well the woman on the phone first of all sounded like a freaking computer (and after a million years in the industry I know what one sounds like) to the degree that I asked “is this a computer or a person?” THEN when I asked about wheat gluten and rice proteins and voluntary recall versus contamination she got offended. Good god, if even a little bit of your food could poison beloved animals you better put on your best freaking attitude and soothe the fears, answer the questions and do some freaking PR for your company. She was dismissive and defensive. So of course I wrote a letter. I’ve been doing that for good and bad companies and to politicians since I was about 18 years old. Yes, I’m one of “those letter writing people.”
I’m also pretty easy going and you have to be rude or stonewall me to get my back up.
