Prompt B: What does your everyday look like? Describe the scene of your happiest moment of every day.

I get up at 5. Hit the snooze button three times until Moshi says “the alarm has been stopped for today.

I get dressed, sometimes I showered the night before. I wake up the Bean at 6:20 by snuggling her awake. I always go in saying “where’s my little bean.” And then I find her under linuses snoozing. I pet her head gently and talk to her as she wakes up.

I get her slippers and robe and hug her when she stands up and I tie her robe.

And then hug her again.

This is the happiest part of my day. That time of waking her up. Before the rush starts, before the dread of another work day begins, before trying to find the right clothes and agenda and the dreaded brushing of tangled hair.

James sweetly makes me breakfast, lunch and coffee and sends me out the door.

I listen to NPR on the way to work.

Then I work –fixing things, talking to people, trying to let them know they will be helped and that they aren’t stupid for having computer problems. I try to have patience with my office mate who certainly can’t stand me and whom I don’t understand.

I am now making sure I walk away from my desk at least for 30 minutes.

I try not to miss my former job, where I think I was doing more good even if the circumstances were crazier.

I leave work and pick up my Bean.

We talk about her day and the girl issues of the day. Right now relational aggression has begun with some of the girls and there is a bully in their midst. It’s hard sometimes not to breathe fire.

She comes home and does her Kumon. Some days there are classes. Some days there is Choir. Some days–if I finish my chores (laundry, cleaning the kitchen or picking up the bedroom, sometimes dinner) I get to go for a walk in the cemetery for an hour. I love that. I need to branch out to more cemeteries.

James cooks dinner more and more often because I’m still getting used to my new job and it’s exhausting for me.

And I had been writing at night but I”ve been falling asleep instead. Like at 9 pm!

Just so very tired trying to make headway in a situation I’m not sure I should be in.

But I’m going to write more because that will contribute to my sanity.

If it is Friday I often visit #wineparty and let out my secretive rude wit to play. I’ve met some lovely lovely folks. I value the time I get to spend with them.

One a month I go out with my dinner party group. That’s really wonderful.

I read on the weekends and watch a lot of Anime with the Bean. Right now we are watching Ah my Goddess, Chrome shelled Regios and Kaichou maid-sama (I’m sure I mis spelled that). Sometimes we practice Japanese.

Usually there is at least one cat quite possibly 5 sitting on us while we do that.

There’s the day, the week…And the best part of it involves a snuggle with my nearly 10 year old who I know won’t be snuggling me much longer so I’m getting all I can while I can. I know when I’m old and ready do die that and my memory of seeing James as I walked down the aisle, and holding armfuls of them both (and a cat or 5) will be the last things I think of.
